Kidd Russell helped establish the indie label Junkyard Productions with producer Matt Jenkins in 2008. Kidd hustles while Matt produces. They just finished Kidd's sophomore effort THE DASH to be released Fall of 2009! Kidd's new sound is a blend of Rock, Pop and Hip Hop with a serious taste for Genre Jumping and creating News Sounds.
The Album has already produced two huge single's "Dear Shooter" & "RUSH” both are currently being used on national TV (MTV, CW networks) and have been on
major music blogs /hip-hop websites/news papers!
All of this has been achieved while staying independent with no Major Label Support!The 3rd single, "E North Ave" was co-written with Ross Golan of Glacier Hiking (LionsGate Records). A video is in production now for this Head Nodder which inspired the cover of the Dash.
Kidd was featured in a hip hop documentary that was filmed in Dallas this summer, "Tha Bridge."
In addition to their own projects, Kidd & Matt have written theme songs for professional wrestlers,
X gamers, Radio Personalities, Indie Movies and more.
